We help leaders turn strategic plans into collective impact
In short, we established JourneyLab to help organisations bridge the "strategy-to-execution" gap, and bring strategy management tooling into the 21st century.
Working as management consultants and in internal roles across dozens of companies, we noticed that many organisations struggled with the same problems. In particular, even when there was a strategy in place, it often failed to be achieved. Typically, this wasn't because of a lack of talent or planning, but by an uncertain path to benefits realisation and the absence of timely feedback along the way. Boards and executives struggle to support their teams effectively when they don't have the inputs they need to make decisions.
In the world of portfolio and program management, a related challenge emerged. In many cases, no data is captured; where there is, it's often in an unstructured manner that requires lots of manual effort to turn into actionable insights. Even getting line of sight for annual planning often takes companies 6 months to prepare. By the time they finished, things were often out of date and the world had moved on! The pace of change will only get faster from here, yet things are still done like they were in the 70s. (No wonder project and transformation success rates are so low.)
